Californian Dreaming reflects on the symbolism of swimming pools within the American Dream. Created during a scorching British summer, Seow employs etching and chine-collé techniques to render sky and water gradients, drawing inspiration from the Japanese woodblock printing method bokashi (ぼかし). This work also examines themes of Japanese immigration to America in the early 20th century.
