Annabel Crowther | Hazey Thoughts, 2024
Etching
Media Dimensions: 30 x 40 cm
Image Dimensions: 11 x 15.9 cm
Edition of 5 (with unique variations)
Framed/unframed
Annabel Crowther's work explores the modern muse through continuous line of the nude figure. Originally an observation of the female form, years of life drawing have informed the character of her prints. Unlike The overlapping composition of her classic line-drawn silhouettes, 'Hazey Thoughts' stands alone from the illustrative 'Dancing Daydreamer' which has become an identifiable feature of Annabel's work. 'Hazey Thoughts' eludes to something more emotionally human than her previous whimsical-style dreamers. Having previously taken part in the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fairs 2021, 2022 and 2023; this'll be the first year one of her dreamers is not featured. The start perhaps of something new.
