Wilhelmina Peace is a visual artist and printmaker, raised in France and currently living and working in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She holds a degree in Cultural Anthropology from Queens University Belfast as well as a degree in Fine Art Printmaking from the Belfast School of Art. Wilhelmina's work is deeply influenced by mythology, folklore and archetypal symbolism.
Sickly Sweet and Suffocating is part of a larger series of etchings that comprise a visual novel Wilhelmina is currently working on. The visual novel explores rites of passage and metamorphosis through a surreal syncretism of fairy tale and autobiography.
