Oscar Farias's work is the product of carefully constructed improvisations that can start from gestural marks The image or idea develops gradually through a combination of thoughts, forms associations, memories, personal experiences or absorbed information that end up in a form of a drawing, paint or print within a figurative representation of an imagined reality. Oscar studied painting and drawing at the Escuela de Bellas Artes of La Plata, Argentina. He studied printmaking at the Central School of Art, City Lit, Morley  College and has a Master Degree in Printmaking from the Royal College of Art in London. He has participated in several collective exhibitions and his work is part of private collections as well as the Arts Council Collection.
