Shimeng Jiang, known by her artist moniker Mon Jajaja, is a freelance illustrator and artist with a degree in Illustration from Kingston University. She explores various artistic techniques, including printmaking, painting, ceramics, and animation, with a focus on capturing the aesthetic potential of everyday life and its subtle, often overlooked moments. When not drawing, she enjoys cooking and wandering in search of good food. Recently, Mon exhibited Japan Meets China at Gastronomia Yamamoto in Milan, exploring the cultural connections between the two countries through food, alongside a solo exhibition in Shenzhen. Her work has also been featured on It’s Nice That and Creative Boom. Her piece, Upon Thames, captures the serene atmosphere of a spring morning in Kingston Upon Thames, reflecting themes of growth and refreshment as the season breathes new life into the landscape.
