LUCE was born in Belgium. She studied Graphic Arts at the Saint Lucas Academy of Art in Antwerp, Belgium. In 1975 she graduated and moved to Paris, since when she has worked in several prestigious print studios amongst which Atelier Lacourière and Atelier 17 where she worked with the well-known artist and founder, Stanley William Hayter. She was for many years the assistant at Atelier 63 in Paris. Since 2006 she has lived and worked between Paris and London. LUCE has exhibited widely and has participated in many print exhibitions. Her work is to be found in many Public Collections amongst which the Flemish government, the Province of Limburg and it’s Library-B, the Monterey Museum and the Saltillo Museum- Mexico, the Tbilissi Museum-Rep.of Georgia, the International Fine Arts Centre-Seoul, the Van Abbemuseum-NL, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts-Antwerp, the Belgian Royal Library Albert I-Brussels, the Frans Masereel Centre-B, the French National Library and the French National Print Collection-Paris, the Contemporary Art Museum of Chamalières-Fr, the V & A Museum-London, the Iraq National Library-Baghdad, the Douro Biennial Printmaking Collection-Portugal, the Painting and Sculpture Museums Association-RHMD-Istanbul, the permanent Collection of the China Printmaking Museum of Guanlan-Shenzen, the Machida City Museum of Graphic Arts-Tokyo, York College-England, Arkansas State University’s Collection-US, the International Collection of Contemporary Art Centre White World -Kiev, Ukraine…
