Madison Skriver
Madison Skriver is an emerging artist who was born in Oregon and currently resides in Portland. Since childhood, her focus has been on painting; she wants her pieces to be portals into the surreal, showcasing the inherent mysticism of painting. Symbolism, time, and nostalgia are reoccurring themes within her work, brought to life through bright, bold colour palettes and the juxtaposition of flat, graphic elements and stylistic realism.
Madison attended the University of Oregon where she attained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, a program which required a fifth additional year of dedicated studio practice. Her work has been featured in New American Paintings, she’s participated in multiple art fairs including Art Busan in Korea and the UNVT Art Fair in Madrid, and she presented her first solo show (Homebody) in the fall of 2023 at Yusto/Giner Gallery in Spain. Madison presently works from her home studio, engaging in her process with great enthusiasm.
