Julia Vogl, is an internationally exhibited American and British artist. In 2011 she graduated from the Slade School of art, London and has since been commissioned by institutions including Tate (2018),ITV (2019), Facebook (2019), Hull 2017 City of Culture, Wellcome (2019), Jewish Arts Collaborative in Boston Common (2018), and most recently has been Artist in residence at Winchester School of Art ( 2023/2024). Vogl is the recipient of the Aesthetic Art prize in 2011 and has been recognised by the American for the Arts Public Year in Review 2012, 2016 and 2019. She is best known for her large-scale public art social sculptures. For the last 16 years Vogl has been a dedicated screen printer, teaching at Sonsoles Print studio and now leading the Print department at Winchester School of Art while exhibiting silkscreen based works including work at Royal Academy Summer 2021/23 Exhibition. Driven with a passion for colour and pattern she is always experimenting and wanting to push the medium.
