PRINTMAKERS’ Printmaking Prize

The Printmakers’ Printmaking Prize is selected by our WCPF Curated Hang artists.

The winning artist, voted for by the successful open-call applicants, is invited to join the Open Call Panel to offer their proven expertise in choosing the next year’s line-up.

Thomas Gosebruch,

2023 Printmakers’ Printmaking Prize Winner

“My work doesn’t come in editions – but the Woolwich Contemporary Printmaking Prize and now the Printmakers Prize feel like a good start for one. The Fair is such a great place to see printmaking in all its incarnations, to meet interesting people new and old - it’s relaxed atmosphere just right for the exchange of ideas. I‘m very glad and grateful for the opportunity!

Zelga Miller, 2022 Printmakers’ Printmaking Prize Winner

“Being selected for WCPF has been nothing but positive. My work being featured by a number of independent selectors was one of the highlights of 2022 and I found the standard to be exceptional from fellow printmakers, exhibiting galleries and curators alike. It encouraged me in too many ways to mention. In addition to which I found the community to be supportive, professional and highly collaborative. It is now firmly on my map, literally and metaphorically speaking!

To find out that I have been selected as The Printmakers’ Printmaker was hugely humbling and such a surprise. Given the phenomenal talent of my fellow printmakers I really was — and still am - taken aback. I would like to thank everyone who voted for me; as an emerging artist it is these events that encourage you to keep going when things get tough.

The truth is I really value what WCPF has become and to be part of the largest celebration of contemporary print is definitely worth celebrating.”
